TEXAS STATE LAW AGE REQUIREMENT TO OPERATE A JET SKI
How old do I have to be to operate a jet ski and what do I need to provide at check in?
You must be born before September 1st 1993, and provide a VALID ID with a picture and date of birth on it upon check in in order to rent a jet ski.
What if I am born on or after September 1st, 1993?
If you are 18 years of age or older, there is a Texas Boaters Safety Course you can take online to obtain a Texas Boaters Safety Certificate. Upon check-in, you must provide a valid ID with a picture and date of birth along with your online Texas Boaters certificate number # in order to rent a jet ski. DO NOT RENT A JET SKI UNTIL THE COURSE IS COMPLETED. This course takes approx. 5hrs
